My name is Corah, I’m 22 years old and based in Sydney. I’m deeply passionate about queer issues and the importance of building strong, inclusive communities. As someone who has navigated the challenges of queerness, I understand how isolating it can feel, especially in the early stages. That’s why I’m committed to fostering spaces where people can find connection and belonging, whether through events, gatherings, or shared experiences.
Allyship is a core value for me, particularly when it comes to supporting our trans siblings and people of colour. I believe that true solidarity involves showing up consistently and advocating for those who are most marginalised. In the same vein, I’m a strong advocate for informed voting—voting not just for policies, but for the values that align with our collective humanity.
With the upcoming election, it’s more important than ever to educate ourselves, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about the world we want to create. I also stand firmly in solidarity with the movement for a free Palestine, recognising the need for justice, human rights, and freedom.
Ultimately, I believe in the importance of balance—creating spaces where we can fight for change, but also enjoy life in ways that are meaningful to us. Whether it’s through safe and inclusive celebrations, crafting, or simply supporting those around me, I’m committed to both advocating for justice and nurturing the joy that comes from being part of a community.
